Mijanou Fortney

Since 2013 Mijanou has been a potter for Empty Bowls. She has also helped with the firing of our decorated glaze ware.

For many years she has run the Community Pottery Studio at Tierra Learning Center—teaching classes, holding workshops and hosting open studio times.

In her own business she sells her pots at Argonaut Coffee, Lupine Market, Sage Mountain Natural Foods and Homespun Pear. You’ll also find Mijanou occasionally at Art in the Park or local Farmer’s Markets.

When not at work, she loves to be out skiing or backpacking with her family.
